Broome District Attorney Candidates Square Off in Three-Way Debate
Broome County residents have a chance to wade through the campaign ad rhetoric and weigh the District Attorney candidates positions in a different light as the three contenders face off in a debate October 23.
The SUNY Broome Center for Civic Engagement at SUNY Broome Community College is hosting a debate with the candidates for Broome County District Attorney: Republican Paul Battisti, Democrat Debra Gelson and Libetrarian Michael Korchak.
The debate takes place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the SUNY Broome Angelo Zuccolo Little Theater in the Student Center at the BCC campus on Upper Front Street in the Town of Dickinson.
The event is open to the public and will be rebroadcast by WSKG Public Media.
The debate comes just days before early voting opens for the first time in New York State on Saturday.
