Many areas of the Southern Tier have gone another day without a new case of COVID-19 but Broome County added three positives for a total of 1,310 and 82 deaths.

Cortland County added six cases for a total of 164.   

New York State, after 38 days of less than one percent of those tested for the coronavirus coming back positive, reported September 15 an infection rate of one percent.  There were 766 new cases and 11 additional deaths.

On the SUNY tracker of colleges and universities, Binghamton University had a dozen new cases identified by on-campus testing over the past seven days for a total of 46. SUNY Oswego has 66 cases total with five new in the past seven days.  SUNY Oneonta seems to be getting a grip on infections with only three in the past seven days but tops the list of total infections at 342.
