Brooklyn Man Convicted of Weapon Possession in Broome
A Brooklyn man will be sentenced in October after being found guilty of felony weapon possession in connection with an incident last October involving a Johnson City woman, the appropriation of her car and the discovery of a loaded pistol.
44-year-old Timothy Rock was convicted Wednesday and faces up to 15 years in prison.
Last fall, a woman told police she planned to pick Rock up at a home on Grand Avenue in the village. When she went inside to use the bathroom, she said Rock drove off in her car but called a short time later to say he had crashed it on Baxter Street in Binghamton.
Police said they found a loaded Jennings T380 pistol in the back of the vehicle that he knowingly and unlawfully possessed.
