The Bradford County, Pennsylvania Coroner says a Granville Township man is dead after being knocked down by a large bull in a cow pen.

Coroner Thomas Carman says 54 year old Henry Saxton was attempting to exit the pen at the family farm on Saxton Hill Road when he was hit by the animal, knocked down and crushed between a gate and wooden beam July 25, sometime between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 3:30 p.m.

Carman says the immediate cause of death was blunt force head trauma and the death has been ruled accidental..
