I arrived at News Radio 1290 WNBF a few minutes early today... and because of that, I had an opportunity to meet Boomer, a three-month-old red kangaroo.

Boomer and his buddy, Jordan Patch, had visited Wild 104, one of the other Binghamton Townsquare Media stations, to promote Animal Adventure, an interactive educational animal park expected to open in Harpursville next spring.

According to Tanya of Wild 104, Boomer weighs only fifteen pounds now. Although he's gray at the moment, he'll be red as an adult and could weigh 200 pounds.

Boomer had no comment during our brief encounter in the hallway outside the WNBF Newscenter. Although he remained silent, he appeared to be very happy to be with us.

I believe Boomer was the first marsupial to visit our Binghamton radio stations. I hope there'll be more!
