The Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team fell to the Vermont Catamounts in Burlington today by a final score of 72-66.  The loss drops Binghamton to 2-9 in America East conference play.  It was the first conference win of the season for the Catmounts.  The game was played at Patrick Gymnasium.

Sydney Smith led the Catamounts with 21 points.  The Bearcats standout freshman Jasmine Sina led all scorers with 22 points.  Also in double figures for Binghamton were Imani Watkins with 12 and Sherae Swinson with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Catamounts held the edge in rebounding with a 41-31 advantage on the glass.  Next up for Binghamton is a trip to Albany to meet the Great Danes on February 11 at Noon.  That game will be broadcast on ESPN 1360 AM WYOS.  Airtime is 11:45 a.m. with Tim Heiman calling the action.
