Binghamton Woman Arrested on Drug Charges

A Binghamton woman is accused of having cocaine and drug packaging material at a Morgan Street home where two children under the age of 15 were home.

24 year old Brittney Ellis is charged with three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felony criminal possession of over a half ounce of a controlled substance, felony criminal possession of over an eighth ounce of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor counts each of criminally using drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force arrested Ellis February after executing a search warrant at a Morgan Street home.

Authorities say they notified Child Protective Services and Ellis was sent to the Broome County Jail.
