Executive director Alexis Pleus said participants will gather at the Martin Luther King Junior Peacemaker's Stage just north of the Court Street bridge.

Pleus said more than 80 Southern Tier residents who died due to substance use-related causes will be memorialized by relatives and friends.

The event is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. Thursday. A memorial march from Court Street to the Governmental Plaza on Hawley Street will start at 5:30.

Following the march, there will be live performance art by families who have lost loved ones.

At 7 p.m., a naloxone training presentation will be made in the parking lot of the Governmental Plaza.
