The City is taking part in the state-wide Solar for All program providing community solar subscriptions at no cost to income-eligible residents.

The New York State Energy Research Development Authority, “NYSERDA” administers the program that waives upfront costs and participation fees for qualifying low-income households in order to increase access to solar for homeowners and renters who may not have ideal conditions for installing solar panels.

Workshops about the program will be held March 12 at the Broome County Public Library starting at 6:30 p.m. and the 23rd  from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at NoMa Community Center on Walnut Street in Binghamton.

Residents can sign up directly by going to nyserda.gov/solarforall or by calling 1-877-NYSMART.
