
Binghamton Police Investigate Robbery at Massage Parlor
Authorities said a robbery was reported at a Binghamton massage parlor.
Police were sent to Love Song Spa at 24 Emma Street in the city's First Ward around 10 p.m. Saturday to investigate a possible shooting and an armed robbery.
Officers learned four men had entered the business and demanded cash. One suspect displayed what appeared to be a handgun.
A worker struggled with the men during the incident. She sustained a sprained ankle
Officers searched the neighborhood for a few men who were believed to have been involved in the incident. She was treated at a hospital and released.
The suspects left the massage parlor with some money. Police did not say how much was taken.
Investigators did not release descriptions of the suspects.
Police are continuing to investigate the robbery. People with information may contact the detective bureau at (607) 772-7080.
This is the second reported incident involving a Broome County massage parlor in recent days. An Endwell business was raided by FBI agents and New York State Police investigators last week.
News 34 reported a police operation occurred on February 25 at Zen Body Works at 3600 George F. Highway in Endwell.
An FBI representative told the station "its agents were conducting court authorized activity in connection with an ongoing federal investigation." No details were released on the nature of the investigation.
Calls placed to the Binghamton and Endwell businesses on Wednesday were not answered.
