Binghamton Police are investigating a possible attempted robbery of a taxi cab driver early June 14.

At 3:25 a.m., a Courtesy Cab driver reported a teen displayed what appeared to be a handgun but fled on foot without taking anything.

The incident happened on Clinton Street and the driver said the 18 to 19-year-old boy had requested he be dropped off at the Saratoga apartments.

The teen was described as black and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.  He may have been armed with a grey or silver handgun.

No shots were fired and the cab driver was not injured.
