Binghamton Police Chase Suspects Through Southside Yards
City of Binghamton Police are looking for three people seen running through yards on the South Side early May 29, one possibly armed with a gun.
Police began tracking the men, all wearing hooded sweatshirts and sweatpants, in the area of Mary, South Washington, James and Morris Streets and properties near Binghamton General Hospital at around 2:30 a.m. Authorities said the subjects were only said to have been seen running through yards, alarming residents, but no previous incident was reported. However, at one point, a witness indicated they thought they had heard a shot from what might be a pellet gun.
Two of the subjects were wearing black or dark-colored hooded sweatshirts with one wearing an all-white hoodie. Two of the men had black pants with white stripes down the outside of the leg.
Anyone with information or who may have recorded surveillance video in the area can contact Binghamton Police at (607) 772-7076 or the Detective Division at (607) 772-7080.
