A few vendors set up tables on Collier Street today. The market is located just south of Court Street.

The farmers' market first opened in 2005. It's sponsored by the Downtown Binghamton Business Association.

The downtown market operates Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Michelle Bernier of Full Quiver Farm made the 40-minute trip from German in Chenango County to sell home-baked breads, cinnamon rolls and cookies. She says she's sold goods at the Binghamton market since it started.

Niechelle Wade of Sunny Hill Farm in Whitney Point sells herbs, plants, honey and other items at the downtown site.

Bernier and Wade say they're looking forward to returning to provide a variety of items for the farmers' market in coming weeks.

The downtown market will run through late October.
