Authorities say two motorcyclists who died after being struck by a truck in the town of Nanticoke were residents of Broome and Tioga counties.

Investigators say 41-year-old Kathryn Schultheis of Binghamton and 39-year-old Brandy Lynn of Newark Valley were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, the women were heading southbound on Route 26 when their motorcycles collided with a northbound pickup truck. The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officials say the driver of the truck, 35-year-old Sarah Robbins of Whitney Point, was not hurt.

Another motorcyclist who was riding with the women who died was not injured. The name of the third motorcycle driver was not released.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office, which was being assisted by the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
