Binghamton Mayoral Candidates to Debate Issues
The two candidates for Binghamton mayor are preparing to face each other in a debate.
Incumbent Richard David and challenger Tarik Abdelazim are scheduled to discuss a range of issues in the session scheduled for Tuesday.
The debate will be hosted by the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce.
In a news release, Chamber president and CEO Jennifer Conway said the event will give the business community "an opportunity to see the ideas and plans" of the city's next mayor.
Debate topics will be focused on business, economic and workforce development.
The session is scheduled for Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. It will be held on the 18th floor of the Binghamton State Office Building at 60 Hawley Street.
People wishing to attend the debate may register for the event at the Chamber of Commerce website.
The mayoral candidates also have agreed to a debate to be broadcast live on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program on October 30.
