Binghamton Man Held for 2012 Conklin Bank Robberies
New York State Police say a 54-year-old Binghamton man is accused of robbing the same bank twice within two weeks more than two years ago.
Scott Wade was arraigned March 23 on two counts of robbery following his indictment last month by a Broome County Grand Jury.
Police allege Wade robbed the First Niagara Bank branch on state Route 7 in Conklin November 14 of 2012 and hit the same bank two weeks later.
In both cases, witnesses described the suspect as a white man, standing between 5-feet, ten-inches and six feet tall with an olive green bandana over his face, gloves, hooded sweatshirt and a baseball hat.
Investigators say this past February information from both robberies led to the indictment of Wade on two felony robbery counts.
Wade is being held in the Broome County Jail without bail.
