Binghamton Man Convicted of Attempting to Meet 8-Year-Old for Sex

A Binghamton man will be sentenced in August after being convicted of felony attempted rape.

After two days of testimony and deliberation, Joseph Henehan was found guilty Tuesday, May 18 in Broome County Court of setting up a meeting with an eight-year-old girl with the intent of engaging in sex with the child.

The Broome County District Attorney’s office says Henehan had made the arrangements for the meeting with the child through social media on October 2 of 2019.  He was arrested when he attempted to meet the girl.
