Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a brazen theft of several hundred dollars worth of meat from a Town of Chenango store.

Authorities say 23-year-old Nicholas Bump of Binghamton has been charged with third-degree robbery, a felony.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, Bump is accused of stealing the meat from Maines Food and Party Warehouse at 1018 Front Street on March 3.

Bump allegedly used force to resist apprehension by a store employee. He also was charged with petit larceny for allegedly stealing merchandise from the business last month.
