Four people, including a state trooper, were hurt when a police chase ended with a collision on the Vestal Parkway.

Authorities say the pursuit began on Route 17 in the town of Owego after state police received a report of a "suspicious vehicle."

The pursuit started around 9 p.m. Friday when a state trooper tried to stop a vehicle on the expressway in the town of Owego.

The chase concluded when both vehicles collided on Route 434 in Vestal.

State police say 27-year-old Christian Buck of Binghamton has been charged with reckless endangerment and aggravated unlicensed operation. He faces other counts, including driving while ability impaired by drugs and unlawfully fleeing an officer.

Buck and two men who were in the car he was driving were treated for injuries at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.

The state trooper involved in the crash was treated at Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton.
