Seven Shots Strike Binghamton House in Latest Drive-By Incident
Binghamton police say more than a dozen shots were fired in a drive-by shooting in which a home was targeted.
Authorities say the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the First Ward.
Police were sent to 21 Lake Avenue to investigate reports of shots fired and a dark-colored sport utility vehicle fleeing the area.
Officers found fifteen .40 caliber shell casings in the roadway. Investigators determined at least seven rounds struck the first and second floor of the house. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Property records indicate the building is a three-family residence.
No detailed description of the SUV was released and police provided no information about possible suspects.
