Binghamton Holds Virtual Meeting on Columbus Park Upgrades
Binghamton Mayor Richard David says plans for improvements to Columbus Park are continuing with a virtual public meeting scheduled for September 10.
The 6 p.m. ZOOM meeting will allow for comment on the planned $500,000 in upgrades which now include construction of a recreation and youth center next year.
Mayor Richard David announced plans to improve the park in the 2019 State of the City Address.
The proposal is calling for upgrading old and underused space at the park and add new features for children between the ages of 12 and 16.
The addition of a new recreation and youth center was made last month.
The plans are being designed by Whitham Planning and Design of Ithaca.
In addition to joining the meeting online by ZOOM, residents can join by phone by calling 1-301-715-8592.
The meeting I-D is 943 8820 9287. The passcode is 020021.
Bear in mind, Broome County Jason Garnar September 10 is also giving his budget address via ZOOM. That presentation begins at 5 p.m.
