Binghamton Hit and Run Suspect Found Hiding in Bushes

A Binghamton man is accused in a hit and run crash in Broome County.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials were called to a report of a vehicle hitting another in the area of Upper Front Street in the Town of Chenango October 17, with the suspect vehicle fleeing the scene.

Officials say the driver of the vehicle that was hit followed the suspect to Everett Street in the City of Binghamton.

Deputies say, when they approached the scene, one of the drivers ran off and was found hiding in some bushes.

48 year old Jesse Hill is charged with driving while intoxicated, driving without a license, driving without a required ignition interlock device, leaving the scene of an accident and unsafe backing.

He was sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
