Residents of the Binghamton City School District will have an opportunity to visit the high school during an open house and community fair event.

According to a district news release, the event will showcase "the wide range of opportunities the school has to offer."

It will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the high school at 31 Main Street.

Parents and students will have an opportunity to learn about this year's curriculum, programs and support services.

The event also will provide opportunities for free haircuts, flu shots and medical screenings.

Those who attend the community fair also will have a chance to win prizes, including Chromebook computers and gift cards.

Those attending the event will tutoring, mentoring and other programs available at the high school.
