Binghamton Goodyear Shop Abruptly Closes

Motorists in the Binghamton area has at least one less place to get work done on their vehicles.

Employees of the Goodyear Tire and Service Center on Henry Street in Binghamton were notified September 30 that it was their last day of work at the location.

Clients that had service scheduled for the upcoming week were called by the workers and directed to contact the Endicott location to reschedule.

The employees said they had no prior warning that they may be out of a job or offered transfers to areas like Syracuse.

There is no information available at the Goodyear websites on any closing plans and no company officials have been available to comment.
