A Binghamton man will be spending a year in the Broome County Jail in connection with an incident on Murray Street in May where shots were fired from a sport utility vehicle at a home where people, including children, were on the porch.

27 year old Miguel Erazo-Pica pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment.

Like his brother, 29 year old Jeffery Gabriel Sanchez-Pica he was originally charged with attempted murder.

The older brother has pleaded not guilty to that charge and his case is pending.

At the time of the shooting, Binghamton Mayor Richard David said it was believed the shots were fired in retaliation for an earlier incident.

No one was injured.

Miguel Erazo-Pica entered his guilty plea in August but was given a few weeks to get his affairs in order before being sentenced.
