The Binghamton Rumble Ponies wrap up their home series with a 7-2 win over the Portland Seadogs yesterday.

After going 2 and 6 in the first half of a 12 game home stand, the Rumble Ponies hit a skid and lost four straight, before winning a Father’s Day matinée  in front of the home crowd yesterday with a 7-2 victory over the Portland Sea Dogs.

The Ponies came up with a big third inning with homeruns by Hayden Senger, Carlos Cortes, and Mark Vientos, and pitcher Luc Rennie got his first Double A win of his career, giving up just one run in six innings.

Also making their Binghamton Rumble Ponies debuts were Tom Hackimer (pitched scoreless 7th inning)  and Connor Grey (gave up one run over two innings)

Binghamton faced two tough opponents in the Bowie Baysox (27-13 first place in the SW division) and the Portland Sea Dogs (24-17 second place NW division).

The Rumble Ponies went 3 and 8 in their home stand, (Saturday night’s game was cancelled due to rain and will be made up on August 4th) falling to last place in the NE division at 12-28.

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are on the road for twelve games starting tomorrow night with six games at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading to take on the Fightin Phils, followed by a six game road series against the Reading Flying Squirrels.

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies will be back home on July 6th for a six game series with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats
