The City of Binghamton is looking for bright ideas for business development.

The Binghamton Business Plan Competition is sponsored by the Binghamton Local Development Corporation and Broome Triad Entrepreneurial Assistance Program and awards $5,000 to the best plan for developing business in the City.

In addition to the cash award, the winner will get five hours of accounting services from Jesse Wheeler, Davidson Fox and company, five hours of legal counsel from Palmer Pelella, a one year membership in the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce, $500 in sign creation services from 3i Graphics and Signs and $500 in website services from Freshy Sites of Binghamton.

Applicants must plan to start or expand a business in the city and attend a free Business Plan Development Workshop on February 15.
