Binghamton Bringing Back Holiday Carousel Rides

A holiday tradition is returning to Binghamton as carousel rides will be offered on three evenings this month.

The city's Department of Parks and Recreation has announced the Recreation Park merry-go-round will operate for three hours on each of the next three Saturdays.

The carousel rides at the park on the West Side will be available on December 5, 12 and 19 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Musical performances by groups from Broome County schools are planned for each event.

Rides in a horse-drawn carriage also will be offered. The brief rides through the park will be provided by Brookvalley Farm of Carbondale.
