The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team has been working hard in preparation for a challenging 2014-15 schedule. The Bearcats open up their new season on Saturday, November 1 when they host Mansfield University at the Events Center at 2 PM (1:45 air on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Binghamton remains home to entertain Oswego the following Friday night at 8:00 PM.  Then it's on the road for four of the next five games including games at Notre Dame on Friday, November 14 and at Providence on Monday, November 17.

Binghamton returns America East Player of the Year candidate Jordan Reed as a key leader as he enters his junior season.  Last year he was a Second Team America East All-Star.  He led the conference in rebounding for a second straight season (8.9 per game) and was third in scoring with a 15.4 points per game average.

Also returning are four sophomores who saw substantial playing time as freshmen for Coach Tommy Dempsey.  Guards Marlon Beck II, and Yosef Yacob return along with forwards Nick Madray and Magnus Richards.

The Bearcats open America East play at UMass Lowell on January 2nd.  The conference home opener is set for Saturday, January 10th at 2:15 versus the Maine Black Bears.  All games will again be aired on News Radio 1290 WNBF or ESPN 1360 AM WYOS.
