It looked good for 20 minutes but the next 20 minutes cost the Binghamton Bearcats Men's team a road win last night in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Binghamton led 23-20 at the half...just the second time BU has gone to the intermission with a lead this season   The River Hawks outscored BU 30-17 in the second half to secure a conference opening victory by a final score of 50-40.

Both teams were plagued by turnovers committing 23 each for a combined total of 46  .  Binghamton led for 26 minutes of the game and jumped out to a 10-0 lead early in the contest. The River Hawks fought back and took the lead for good with 9:38 left in the game,

Freshman Romello Walker had his most productive game as a Bearcat scoring 14 points, the only Binghamton player to hit for double figures. It was the third consecutive win for the River Hawks over Binghamton since they joined America East last season.  Next up for the Bearcats is a trip to Hartford next Wednesday at 7 PM with airtime at 6:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
