The Binghamton University Baseball team is escaping the bitter cold and snow in our area and heading to Auburn in Alabama where they open their 2015 season February 14 at 4 p.m.  The temperature is projected to be in the upper 40's. When the Bearcats and Tigers meet February 14 at 4 the temperature should be in the mid-50's.  No heat wave but far from minus - 25 wind chill warnings here.

The Bearcats are two-time defending America East Champions. Auburn is an SEC member.  Binghamton is returning 19 lettermen and finished 25-27 last year.

The three-game series concludes on Sunday with a 1 PM game.  Auburn is loaded with 17 lettermen returning from a squad that went 28-28 last year.

Senior Greg Ostner will be the opening day pitcher for coach Tim Sinicki's Bearcats.  Junior Mike Bunal makes the start on Saturday with Rob Hardy the expected starter on Sunday.
