Binghamton BARK Park Grand Opening

Grand opening festivities are about to be held for Binghamton's new dog park.

The BARK Park is located at the Cheri Lindsey Memorial Park off Pleasant Street on the city's North Side.

The grand opening event is planned for Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will start the program.

Organizers say there'll be agility demonstrations and free classes for dogs and their owners.

There'll be opportunities for first-time canine owners to learn about the responsiblities of dog ownership.

The grand opening is being held in conjunction with the American Kennel Club's Responsible Dog Ownership Day.
