A private club that's been warned it could be locked down appears to be getting ready to move to another part of Binghamton.

The building housing the Antler Lodge at 201 Chenango Street on the North Side has been listed for sale. The listing with RealtyUSA shows a $150,000 asking price.

Andrea Fish of RealtyUSA said an offer has been received for the structure, which was built in 1900, according to the listing.

Mayor Richard David in April told WNBF News that there had been discussions with the Antler Lodge about the possiblity of moving to another site.

The operation was the target of a lockdown warning after a 33-year-old man was fatally shot outside the club last July.

STK Partners has embarked on a $2.5 million redevelopment project for property adjacent to the Antler Lodge. The developers have expressed concern about the series of incidents associated with the club. The new apartments planned for an existing five-story building are to be marketed to students and young professionals.

The operators of the Antler Lodge could not be reached to discuss a possible new location for the club. They are said to be looking at sites that have previously been occupied by restaurants or bars.

One location reported to be under consideration is at 4 West State Street, which has been home to a series of restaurants in recent years. Another prospective site is said to be the building that had housed Niko's Diner at 522 Court Street.

During an April interview on WNBF Radio's Binghamton Now program, the mayor said the developers of the new project were working with the Antler Lodge and the city to assist in the search for another site.

At the time, David said, "it's doubtful it would be downtown."
