Walk-in services will be returning to the two Department of Motor Vehicles offices in Broome County.

People who need to conduct time-sensitive DMV transactions will be able to show up at the Binghamton and Endicott sites without an appointment starting June 4.

A directive requiring DMV units to operate by appointment only has expired.

Broome County Clerk Joseph Mihalko said people who would like to avoid long lines may continue to schedule appointments online or by phone.

Online appointments may be made at broomecountyclerk.setmore.com. To make an appointment by phone for the Binghamton office, call (607) 778-6513. Appointments for the Endicott office may be booked by calling (607) 754-2147.

Although walk-in services will be available, appointments are encouraged.

Appointments will still be necessary for Saturday services at the Endicott DMV office and at mobile units in Conklin, Windsor and Triangle.

Visitors will still be required to wear face masks inside Broome County DMV offices.
