The Binghamton Bearcats were knocked out of the NCAA Softball Tournament Saturday as the Fordham Rams rolled to an 8-0 five-inning mercy-rule victory in Harrisonburg, Va.  That defeat coupled with a 9-1 loss to James Madison on Friday ends Binghamton's post-season one week after the Bearcats won their first ever America East title.

Binghamton started off on a good note with a lead off double by Sydney Harbaugh.  Then came an 18-minute rain delay from which the Bearcats never recovered.

The Bearcats season comes to an end with a record of 24-21.  Freshman Sarah Miller took the loss on the mound for the Bearcats.  Binghamton loses just one senior.  She is shortstop Caytlin Friis.
