The Binghamton Bearcats hosted the Vermont Catamounts in men's basketball February 18 at the Events Center.

The Catamounts went in with a record of 11-2 in America East while the Bearcats were 3-10.  Vermont defeated Binghamton in Burlington earlier this season by a score of 66-44.  Ethan O'Day paced the Catamounts attack with 12 points. O'Day went into the February 18 game as the reigning America East Player of the Week and is Vermont's top scorer with an 11.9 points per game average.

The Bearcats have enjoyed being on the top of upsets in the past. In the 2011-2012 season the Catamounts were cruising along unbeaten in the conference heading into the last couple of weeks of the regular season.  Binghamton was 0-14.  The date was February 21.  Binghamton shocked the Catamounts with a 57-53 victory.  It proved to be the only regular season victory in America East for BU.  Then, last season, the Bearcats gave Vermont all it could handle at the Events Center sending the Catamounts into overtime before losing 92-89

The Bearcats travel to Stony Brook to meet the Seawolves on Long Island February 21 at 7 p.m.
