B-Mets Hope For Big Night
The Binghamton Mets are home tonight when they host the Portland Sea Dogs at 7:05 (6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) at NYSEG Stadium. The B-Mets are celebrating the July 4th Holiday with the start of a six-game home stand.
Following tonight's game the B-Mets will present their biggest fireworks show of the season with their Double Grand Finale. The B-Mets plan other events during the game to honor America and its National Pastime.
Binghamton is coming off a 3-2 loss last night in Erie. Michael Gibbons made his Double-A debut on the mound for the B-Mets and went into the seventh inning as he took the loss. The B-Mets split their series in Erie with each team winning a pair of games.
Tonight, Michael Fulmer makes the start for the B-Mets. William Cuevas will get the nod for Portland. The B-Mets come into tonight's game with a record of 40-39. Relief ace Paul Sewald has been moved to the Temporary Inactive List to participate in the Pan Am Games. Josh Smoker has been transferred from St. Lucie to Binghamton.
