The Binghamton Mets downed the Akron Rubber Ducks May 9 in Akron at Canal Park.  Binghamton has now won six consecutive road games and has a five-game winning streak against Akron.

Michael Fulmer earned the victory on the mound for Binghamton going five innings and giving up just one run. The B-Mets scored five runs in the sixth inning.  Dustin Lawley and Aderlin Rodriguez both notched two-run extra-base hits to pace the Binghamton offense.

Jon Velasquez came on in the ninth inning to calm an Akron uprising and earn his seventh save this season.  The B-Mets have now won three straight games and go for the series sweep Mother's Day in a 2:05 p.m. start (air at 1:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Jon Gant will start for Binghamton against Akron's Ryan Merritt.
