The clerk told police a man entered the business and demanded cash.

The worker said the man was armed with a knife with a blade that was several inches long. He said the robber jumped behind the counter and threatened to kill him.

More than $700 was believed to have been taken by the man, who was wearing gloves and had his face covered.

The robber ran from the business and was last seen heading west across Walnut Street through a parking lot behind Tabernacle United Methodist Church.

The suspect's description appeared to be similar to the man police were seeking in connection with two back-to-back incidents that happened several blocks away on Friday.

Police said a man with a knife robbed the Big Lots store in the Price Chopper Plaza. The same man also attempted to rob the neighboring Goodwill Industries store.
