America East has three men's basketball teams in post-season play.  With the University of Massachusetts Lowell not eligible to compete since they are new to Division I play the conference has three of its remaining eight teams in tournament action.

Tonight at 6:40 PM the Albany Great Danes meet Mount St. Mary's in Dayton, Ohio in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.  Both are 16 seeds and the winner will have the ominous task of playing the nation's number one team, Florida on Thursday night.  But, the chance at a win tonight is what is on both teams' minds.  Albany is 18-14 while the Mountaineers are 16-16.

Also tonight the Stony Brook Seawolves face the Siena Saints at Siena.  The Seawolves dropped the America East championship game to Albany and are competing in the College Basketball Invitational (CBI).  Stony Brook is 23-10 while the Saints who play out of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference are 15-17.

Tomorrow night the America East regular season champion Vermont  Catamounts play in the opening round of the NIT when they travel to the University of Georgia.  Georgia is 19-13 and goes into the NIT as a number two seed.  The Catamounts are 22-10 and won the regular season America East championship.  The winner of the Vermont-Georgia game will advance and face the winner of the Inoa versus Louisiana Tech match-up.
