Late department store chairman Albert Boscov is being remembered for his hard work, energy and good humor.

The man who brought a Boscov’s Department Store to Downtown Binghamton in the 1980s was memorialized in his home city of Reading, Pennsylvania February 26.

Boscov passed away February 10, just a little over a week after he revealed to employees that he had terminal pancreatic cancer.

He told the employees, “I love you all.”

Boscov was 87.

He was credited for growing the department store started by his father into a retail chain with sales of over $1 billion.
