Detectives are seeking suspects in connection with a series of reported shooting incidents in Binghamton.

Police were sent to 333 Clinton Street in the First Ward around 2:45 a.m. Sunday to check out a report of shots fired.

Investigators said officers found no one who had been injured in the area. They determined some gunshots had been fired in the building's parking lot. The scene is located just west of a Dollar General store.

A First Ward resident told WNBF News there had been another shooting incident a week earlier. He reported hearing three gunshots near Oak and Elm streets around 5 a.m. Easter Sunday.

Later that day, a man was shot in the back in Commercial Alley, just north of Court Street downtown.

It's not known whether the incidents are related.
