In its announcement, Pepsi indicated the plant was expected to close by November 15.

The site appeared mostly idle this afternoon. Although three cars were in the parking lot, no trucks were at the plant.

The lights were on in the office but no one was available to talk with a reporter.

There was no immediate comment from representatives at PepsiCo headquarters in Westchester County.
