Incumbent New York State Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo has a challenger for the 123rd district.

Broome County attorney, Dorollo Nixon has announced his candidacy for the seat held by the Democrat, who is in her sixth term.

Nixon made his announcement in Endicott surrounded by prominent Republicans including State Senator Fred Akshar and Binghamton Mayor Richard David, proclaiming Lupardo a career politician and part of the problem in Albany.

Lupardo is expected to announce her bid for reelection in upcoming weeks.
