Zona & Co. Grille Features Delicious Meals

Binghamton Restaurant Week continues through Thursday night.  So far by all accounts this has been a smash hit.  Last night my wife Beth and I headed  to Zona & Co. Grille at 15 Hawley Street in Binghamton to try their dinner specials.  I was looking forward to my first chance to visit there.  It is in an excellent location downtown with new student housing just across the street and the Broome County Veterans Memorial  Arena just a block away.

We could not have been more pleased.  Everyone was courteous and we both really enjoyed it.  Beth started out with a personal queso with housemade corn flour chips.  I had their vegan black bean soup.  Both got the meal off to a super start !  The soup was  spicey but not overly so and was outstanding.  I inched- in on Beth's queso and grabbed a few chips to try...very tasty !

For the second part of the meal I ordered the beef brisket enchiladas.  There are two large flour tortillas rolled and topped with house enchilada sauce, molten cheddarjack and a side of red rice.  This is excellent !  If you are heading to Zona & Co Grille either of these next two nights I would highly recommend this as your dinner order.  Beth enjoyed the ancho citrus grilled fish tacos with soft corn tortillas, pineapple salsa and sweet chili sauce with cabbage, cilantro and queso fresco.  There are three giant-size tacos. .. big enough to take some home and delicious enough to raid the refrigerator overnight to enjoy some more.

Our meals was topped off with tasty desserts.  She enjoyed the lemon bar and I had an order of their rice pudding.  Both wonderfully delightful and perfect ways to finish off a very enjoyable evening.

I must say the service we have had visiting participants in Binghamton Restaurant Week is outstanding.  Our server at Zona, Ryan, knew the menu perfectly and could not have been more polite. It capped off a great night. On the way home Beth and I  talked about what we were going to have on our next visit to Zona & Co. Grille.  See you there !
