Women Arrested After Unadilla Fight

Two women face charges following a physical dispute in Otsego County.

Authorities say they were arrested on Tuesday after the incident in the Town of Unadilla.

State police were alerted to the fight by a person who called 911.

Investigators say 27-year-old Tina Keirnan of Unadilla was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. 26-year-old Ahsley Mellio of Mastic, Long Island, was charged with third-degree assault.

Police say the investigation determined Keirnan struck Mellio in the face, damaging her glasses. Keirnan also allegedly would not let the other woman call police.

Mellio then is alleged to have punched Keirnan in the face several times, causing an injury.

Investigators did not indicate whether Keirnan sought medical treatment after the fight.

Both women were issued appearance tickets for Unadilla town court.
