A Binghamton woman will be sentenced in March after pleading guilty December 7 to manslaughter in the stabbing death of her boyfriend.

27 year old Liz Ayala is looking at ten years in prison and five years parole for killing 26 year old Gerrard Davis at their home on Broad Avenue.

Prosecutors say the couple had a long history of domestic incidents.

Police were called to the residence with a report of a medical emergency shortly after 8:30 a-m on March 21 and Davis died shortly after being taken to the hospital.

Two children were in the home at the time of the stabbing and were put into the care of Child Protective Services.

Ayala had initially been charged with murder and could have been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
