Woman Killed In Otsego County Crash

An Oneonta-area woman died after a two-car crash in Otsego County.

Authorities say 62-year-old Terry Church was pronounced dead at the scene on State Route 23 in the town of Oneonta.

The crash happened shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday.

State police say an eastbound 2008 GMC Envoy driven by 66-year-old Francis Gesel Jr. of Leominster, Massachusetts, veered into the oncoming lane. The vehicle collided with a westbound 2008 Hyundai Accent driven by Church.

Gesel was taken to A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta for treatment of chest pain and a broken foot.
