One person died and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 in Susquehanna County.

Authorities say the collision happened shortly after 7:30a.m. February 16 in the northbound lanes of the highway in New Milford township.

State police say a sport utility vehicle veered off I-81 near the Great Bend exit and struck a snowbank. That vehicle wound up back on the highway, where it was struck by a car.

Investigators said 32-year-old Mariam Razzazan of Peckville, who had been driving the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the car had been operated by 67-year-old Terrance Landry of Ottawa. Landry and a passenger, 40-year-old Carolyn Landry, were taken to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City for treatment.
