Woman Dies After Vehicle Hits Tree In Tioga County

A 41-year-old woman was killed when the vehicle she was driving slammed into a tree in Tioga County.

Authorities say Deborah Lynn Mahoney Reynolds of Athens was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

According to state police, Reynolds lost control of a 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser on Dean Creek Road in the Town of Barton around 3 p.m. Tuesday (March 15).

Investigators say the woman's three children - ages 4, 8 and 10 - were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. They were not hurt.

Police say Reynolds died as a result of head trauma.
